Remember the Summertime sign I did for my sister earlier this year? Here's the one I did for her for fall, again using this unusually shaped wood slat. This time I started by painting it a light brown. The lettering is a dark brown and each of the leaves are painted with detail.
I love how the yellow leaf seems to glow, just like the real ones do when the sun is shining.
The oak leaf is accented with two little painted acorns.
It's really looking like fall up here in northern Michigan. While I love the colors, I know that a very long winter is coming soon!
